Privacy Policy — NODE ZERO

Last updated: September 6, 2026

This policy explains what data NODE ZERO ("the App", "the Game") collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. It is written to describe what this specific app actually does.

1. Who this applies to

NODE ZERO is available on Android via Google Play. It is not directed at children. It is intended for a general audience and is not designed, marketed, or targeted specifically at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

2. Data we collect ourselves

We operate no servers and collect no personal data directly. NODE ZERO has no account system of our own, and we do not ask for or receive your name, email address, or any other personal identifier.

Your game progress — currency, upgrade levels, unlocked items, purchase entitlements, achievements, and settings — is written to your device's standard local app storage. If you never sign in to Google Play Games (see Section 4), this data stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

3. In-game inbox

The App periodically fetches a public news file hosted on GitHub in order to display announcements in the in-game inbox. This is a plain read-only request: nothing about you or your game progress is sent with it. As with any internet request, the host (GitHub) can observe your device's IP address and approximate region. We do not receive, log, or store any of this. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.

4. Google Play Games Services (optional sign-in)

The App offers optional sign-in with Google Play Games Services. Signing in is entirely your choice — the App is fully playable without it. If you do sign in, three features become active:

Play Games Services is operated by Google, and the data above is held by Google under your Google account, not by us. You can review or delete this data through your Google account controls. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can also sign out from within the App at any time.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows rewarded video ads only. These are never shown automatically: an ad plays only after you tap a button to request one in exchange for an in-game reward.

Google AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers, IP address, general location (country/region), and app usage data, and — only where you have consented — data used to personalize ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses data from AdMob.

6. Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The App offers optional in-app purchases, including a VIP subscription period, ad removal, a game speed upgrade, content bundles, and cosmetic skins. All payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. We receive only a confirmation that a given purchase completed, which the App uses to unlock the corresponding content. See Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Notifications

With your permission, the App may schedule local reminder notifications on your device. These are generated on the device itself, are not push notifications, and involve no server and no data leaving your device. You can disable them in your device settings at any time.

8. Your consent choices (EU / UK / Switzerland / US states)

If you are in a region with applicable privacy law, the App shows a consent message via Google's User Messaging Platform before ad-related data is collected, letting you choose whether to allow personalized ads, non-personalized ads only, or, depending on your region, decline. You can change this choice at any time using the PRIVACY OPTIONS button in the App's settings menu, which appears where your region requires it.

9. Data sharing

We do not sell your data and we do not share data with third parties ourselves. The only data flows are those described above, directly between your device and Google (advertising, purchases, and — if you sign in — Play Games Services), plus the read-only inbox request described in Section 3.

10. Your rights and how to delete your data

We hold no personal data on our own servers, so there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. To remove data held elsewhere:

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
